Report: Bitcoin is favorite cryptocurrency among UAE investors

According to a Chainalysis report, the UAE made huge capital gains of $204 million on crypto investments in 2023. Although the UAE ranks only 38th among the top 50 countries with significant returns from cryptocurrency investments, it ranks second among GCC countries. Saudi Arabia ranks first among GCC countries with revenue of $351 million and ranks 26th among the top 50 countries.

Notably, the United States led the way with a total gain of $9.36 billion. The UK came in second with $1.39 billion. Upper-middle-income countries and lower-middle-income countries such as Vietnam, China, Indonesia and India followed, with gains of US$1.18 billion, US$1.15 billion, US$1.96 billion and US$1.05 billion respectively.

The report further highlights that Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency among UAE investors.
