American singer Akon updated his signature on Cameo (a platform for celebrities to pay to share personalized videos), asking fans to "please no crypto related requests." Akon had planned to build a crypto city in the East African country of Uganda by 2036 and launch the blockchain-based cryptocurrency Akoin (AKN). However, it was later revealed that the project has basically stalled, and Akoin tokens have also been withdrawn from multiple cryptocurrency exchanges. Although the project's prospects are not promising, Akon still believes that the city will be "partially" developed by 2026.
